The Receptionist role at the Fence Store and Showroom is pivotal as the initial point of contact for all visitors and customers entering the premises. This position involves staffing the front counter, managing customer inquiries, supporting sales representatives, and handling various administrative functions crucial for smooth store operations. The receptionist is responsible for greeting customers warmly, providing product and pricing information, answering incoming phone calls, and scheduling appointments for the outside sales team. Attention to detail is paramount, especially in the processing of payments, including cash, checks, and card transactions, as well as managing accurate sales documentation and cash drawer reconciliation.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in inside sales, retail counter sales, or customer service preferred
- experience handling cash, payments, and reconciliations strongly preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Staff and manage the front counter during business hours
- greet and assist walk-in customers with product information, pricing, and general inquiries
- answer incoming phone calls and check/respond to voicemails in a timely manner
- schedule appointments for outside sales representatives
- maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful customer experience at all times
- prepare and print subcontractor checks as directed
- assist with order entry, estimates, and sales documentation
- communicate effectively with sales representatives, subcontractors, and internal team members
- support daily store operations and general office tasks as needed
- receive and process cash, check, and card payments
- prepare daily cash deposits
- perform cash drawer reconciliation and ensure accuracy
- follow company procedures for handling money and financial records
