Job Description

Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk is a prestigious hotel located in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois. Situated at 301 E North Water St, this luxury establishment is part of the globally recognized Sheraton Hotels & Resorts brand, which operates under the Marriott International portfolio. Since 1937, Sheraton has been a welcoming hub for travelers worldwide, offering a blend of comfort, style, and exceptional service. The Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk embodies this tradition, providing guests with a flawless experience characterized by impeccable accommodations and attentive hospitality.

As a full-time, non-management housekeeping professional at Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk, you will play an essential role in creating an inviting, spotless environment that makes guests feel at home during their stay. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $26.50 per hour, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to valuing the hard work and dedication of its staff.

Your role will be pivotal from the moment a guest steps into their room. First impressions matter immensely, and the cleanliness and arrangement of the room can set the stage for a memorable stay. By ensuring that bedding is pristine, pillows are perfectly positioned, and surfaces such as mirrors and furniture are immaculate and polished, you contribute to the overall guest satisfaction and loyalty. This careful attention to detail helps foster an atmosphere of trust and comfort, essential to the Sheraton brand experience.

Daily responsibilities will include replacing guest amenities and room supplies, making beds, folding linens, and removing trash and soiled items. You will also be expected to greet guests courteously and respond promptly to their requests. Maintaining order in the room by organizing desks, furniture, and appliances ensures the space remains welcoming and functional. Additionally, your duties will involve dusting, polishing, spot-cleaning walls and furnishings, vacuuming carpets, and performing other floor care tasks.

The position demands physical stamina as it requires moving and lifting items up to 25 pounds, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. A professional appearance—including a clean uniform—is mandatory. Furthermore, before beginning your employment, you will undergo safety training and certification to uphold the highest standards of workplace and guest safety.

Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk values a positive and cooperative work environment, offering ample opportunities for learning, professional development, and wellness programs. Employees benefit from motivational management, team spirited colleagues, discounts on hotel rooms, merchandise, food, and beverages, as well as recognition programs that celebrate outstanding performance. Here, you are not just an employee but part of a global community dedicated to excellence in hospitality.

Joining Sheraton means becoming a member of a worldwide network where diversity of culture, talent, and experience is celebrated and respected. The hotel emphasizes equal employment opportunities and fosters an inclusive setting where everyone is welcomed and valued. Benefits include medical care, retirement plans, paid time off including sick leave, life insurance, disability coverage, and more comprehensive wellness resources, subject to eligibility and applicable conditions.

If you enjoy working as part of a team and are driven to deliver meaningful guest experiences, Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk invites you to explore this opportunity and become your best self while contributing to an internationally celebrated hospitality brand. At Sheraton, you will find a place to connect, grow, and excel—truly the "Meeting Place of the World."
