Job Description
Mariani Enterprises LLC is building the premier outdoor living company in the United States by creating a "family of family companies" nationwide. This strategic vision aims to bring together multiple expert landscaping businesses under one umbrella, providing an unmatched level of service and expertise in the landscaping industry. Hoffman Landscapes, one of the company’s local affiliates, is a Top 100 Landscape Company that serves residential customers across Fairfield and Litchfield Counties in Connecticut as well as Westchester County in New York. With over 30 years in business and a consistent track record of more than 10% yearly growth, Hoffman Landscapes embodies the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. The firm prides itself on delivering top-notch service while maintaining a positive work environment, making it a leader in the residential landscaping field.
This particular role offers the opportunity to join a financially strong and growth-oriented company that values its employees’ professional development. The position focuses on plant and lawn healthcare within the residential landscape sector. Candidates will have the chance to work alongside seasoned experts on some of the largest and most complex landscape projects, gaining hands-on experience in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and other essential plant health protocols. The role requires conducting IPM inspections, diagnosing turf and ornamental problems, properly managing assigned territories, and employing species-specific insect, disease, and cultural tending techniques.
This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage ranging between $25 and $30, reflecting the advanced skillset required for successfully maintaining and improving residential properties. The company emphasizes pay transparency and equal opportunity, fostering an inclusive environment where dialogue about compensation is encouraged in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Employees are supported through comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement plans and tuition reimbursement after one year of service.
Professionals working in this role can expect to perform manual labor outdoors year-round in different weather conditions, demonstrating physical stamina and the ability to handle demanding tasks such as operating and calibrating spray equipment, mixing pesticides safely, and abiding by licensing and regulatory standards. The role is also ideal for those who hold or are willing to obtain Junior Operator’s Pesticide Licenses and related certifications promptly.
This position not only offers career advancement within a growing, respected landscaping company but also the chance to be part of a nationwide network promoting best practices and continuous improvement in the landscape industry. Whether the candidate has a background in arboriculture, horticulture, environmental science, or a related discipline, or has hands-on experience in tree care or plant health, this job presents an exciting platform to enhance skills and contribute meaningfully to residential landscape care and management.
