At Peterson, there is a strong company culture centered on safety, growth, and professional achievement, fostering a family-oriented environment where employees are valued not only for their work but also for the purpose and passion they bring to their roles.

The expected working hours are no more than 20 hours per week, offering flexibility for those seeking part-time employment. With a competitive pay range of $28.85 to $33.90 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package, Peterson offers an attractive compensation structure aligned with its commitment to employee welfare.

The Truck Porter is a vital member of the operational team responsible for a range of tasks focused on facilitating lot activity at the dealership. This role involves the transport of heavy-duty trucks and trailers, setting up the lot, refueling vehicles, as well as organizing and relocating vehicles to ensure efficient use of space. The porter will also handle vehicle cleaning duties such as washing and detailing trucks and trailers, maintain cleanliness of the shop and yard, and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. In some cases, this position may require using company or personal vehicles, and may involve reporting on vehicle damage and system fault codes to support office staff and inside sales representatives.

This position is ideal for candidates with at least two years of related experience, preferably in a heavy industrial environment, who hold a valid Class A or Class B driver’s license with endorsements and a clean DMV record. Safety is paramount at Peterson, and the company emphasizes regular attendance, reliability, and compliance with all operational protocols. Employees in this role must also pass a drug screen and background check, reinforcing Peterson's commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.

Joining Peterson Trucks means becoming part of a team that values high standards, professional development, and a sense of purpose in everyday work. The company’s longstanding history and dedication to community involvement, along with competitive wages and robust benefits, make it an attractive employer in the heavy truck industry.
