The driver position at ThyssenKrupp Materials NA, based out of the Northwood, Ohio warehouse, is a dedicated route driver role that involves delivering products efficiently and safely to multiple ThyssenKrupp locations. This role is ideal for professional drivers who prefer a consistent schedule, minimal customer interaction, and the opportunity to operate within a stable and well-established company. The position entails operating a 53-foot long hard trailer to transport materials, ensuring all deliveries are completed on time and in compliance with company safety standards and transportation regulations. Drivers in this role will follow a drop and hook system, which means they will drop trailers at designated locations and hook up new trailers as part of their daily route, returning home at the end of each shift.

This role emphasizes the importance of vehicle maintenance and safety inspections to guarantee the integrity of each delivery. Drivers are expected to conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to secure loads properly and ensure the trailer is within weight limits and in good working condition. Assistance with loading and unloading may also be required to maintain operational efficiency. Drivers must complete all necessary documentation, such as delivery receipts, daily logs, inspection reports, and hours of service records.
