Job Description

Penske Logistics is a renowned leader in transportation, warehousing, and freight management solutions, delivering exceptional business results for some of the market's foremost companies. Operating globally across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske brings cutting-edge, efficient logistics services tailored to meet the evolving needs of its clients. The company is committed to driving supply-chain cost reductions while increasing operational visibility, making it a trusted partner for businesses aiming to streamline their distribution and shipping processes.

As a part of its dynamic workforce, Penske offers full-time local Class A CDL Truck Driver positions based in Dallas, Texas. These roles are pivotal, entrusted with the shuttling of auto parts and ensuring timely delivery directly while maintaining Penske's high standards of customer service and safety. The role is designed for the professional truck driver who enjoys varied schedules and values being home daily, offering a balance between work and personal life.

The compensation for these full-time positions starts at $25.25 per hour, reflecting Penske's dedication to rewarding its drivers competitively. Drivers in this role will manage an average of 5 to 6 stops per week, operating late-model trucks maintained by Penske for optimal comfort and safety. These state-of-the-art trucks feature inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras, underscoring the company's commitment to the wellbeing of its drivers and those around them.

Scheduled shifts can vary, classified as a 'floater' position, with dispatch times depending on coverage needs. The work schedule ranges from 5 to 6 days per week, typically totaling 50 to 60 hours, with the significant perk of returning home daily. This is ideal for drivers prioritizing steady hours and local assignments with consistent routine and limited overnight absences.

Penske provides a comprehensive benefits package starting from day one, including paid vacation and holidays, competitive retirement benefits, and excellent medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additional insurance options include short and long-term disability, life, and AD&D insurance. Employees receive company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, access to an employee discount program, and the incentive of referral bonuses up to $5,000. The safety incentive program and Premier Driver Recognition initiatives further affirm Penske's commitment to acknowledging and rewarding excellence among its drivers.

Joining Penske means becoming part of a nationwide company known for its stability, superior equipment, and strong safety record, with supportive management and clear communication. Drivers benefit from ongoing training opportunities and the possibility of relocation within Penske's vast network. The company values professionalism and customer service, inviting drivers to not only represent Penske but also its broad client base and their branded vehicles unmistakably seen on the roads.

This role requires a valid Class A CDL, interstate medical certification, and at least one year of qualifying tractor-trailer experience. Safety, alertness, and compliance with all applicable governmental regulations are critical components of everyday work life at Penske. Candidates will undergo a thorough background check and drug screening, affirming the company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and reliable fleet. Physical capabilities include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally and to operate vehicles safely and efficiently.

If you are a dependable, safety-conscious professional looking to advance your career with a respected leader in logistics and transportation, Penske offers an outstanding opportunity with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment. Consider making the shift to Penske and fuel your career by becoming a valued member of their expert driver team in Dallas, Texas.
