The current opportunity is for full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers based in Jersey City, NJ. These positions offer an attractive average annual salary of $91,000 and the benefit of being home daily due to local routes. Drivers will operate late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks designed with best-in-class specifications to maximize comfort and safety. These vehicles come equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to enhance safety protocols for drivers and the public.

As a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver with Penske Logistics, your primary responsibility will be delivering products efficiently to various stores on designated routes. Drivers typically make between one to four stops per route, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with customers. The role offers a 5-day workweek with the possibility of a sixth day, and afternoon or evening dispatch options, providing a flexible schedule to suit different drivers' preferences.

Job Requirements

  • Be domiciled in the U.S.
  • Hold a valid Class A CDL
  • Have or obtain non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • Have 1 year tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
  • Maintain 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • Follow all applicable laws and company policies
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance
  • Proficient in English
  • Complete background investigation and drug screening
  • Work required schedule and location
  • Ability to work safely and be responsible for self and others safety

Job Qualifications
