Job Description
Penske Logistics is a leading transportation, warehousing, and supply chain management company known for its innovative solutions and commitment to delivering exceptional business results. Operating across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske Logistics helps businesses enhance visibility and reduce supply chain costs by providing state-of-the-art services. As a part of a stable, nationwide organization, employees benefit from a strong safety record, excellent management, great communication, and top-tier equipment. Penske is recognized not only for its yellow trucks but for its dedication to customer service and building long-lasting relationships with clients. The company's reputation and industry presence make it an ideal place for individuals seeking a fulfilling career in logistics and transportation.
This full-time opportunity is for local Class A CDL truck drivers who will be operating late-model trucks leased from Penske Truck Leasing. These trucks are equipped with best-in-class specifications for driver comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. The role primarily involves delivering mattresses to customers with an average of 20 to 30 stops per week. Drivers will maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and will return home daily. The schedule consists of a five-day workweek, Monday through Friday, with weekends off. Dispatch times range from 4am to 8am, enabling drivers to start their routes early. The position offers competitive pay at $28.33 per hour with overtime pay after 40 hours per week, ensuring financial rewards for hard work.
Penske values its drivers and offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid vacation and holidays from the first day, generous retirement plans, excellent medical, dental, and vision coverage, and short- and long-term disability insurance, alongside life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance. Employees receive company-provided uniforms, enjoy an employee discount program, and can participate in a driver referral bonus program that offers up to $5,000 per referral. There is also a safety incentive program and premier driver recognition programs designed to motivate and acknowledge the achievements of their drivers. These benefits contribute to the wellbeing and security of their associates and their families.
Choosing Penske means joining a team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering goods safely and on time. Drivers represent both Penske and its clients, often driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms. The company offers ongoing training opportunities and the potential to relocate to new cities across the nation, providing career growth and flexibility. Penske’s consistent Friday pay schedule and daily home time for most driving positions add to the appeal, making this an excellent career choice for those ready to advance in truck driving and logistics.
