Job Description

Penske Logistics is a leading logistics and supply chain management company known for delivering state-of-the-art transportation, warehousing, and supply chain solutions that drive powerful business results. Operating across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske Logistics supports market-leading companies by enhancing supply chain visibility and reducing costs. As a part of this expansive and reputable network, Penske offers stable employment with a focus on safety, customer service, and professional growth. With a strong commitment to its associates, Penske features modern, well-maintained equipment and a culture of clear communication and excellent management. This ensures drivers not only receive the support they need but also thrive in their roles.

This full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Driver position offers an attractive hourly wage of $32 plus overtime pay after 40 hours. The schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday, with dispatch starting at 12:30 AM, averaging 48 hours weekly. Employees enjoy the benefit of being home daily, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking work-life balance. Drivers are assigned dedicated routes and transport parts and supplies to automotive dealerships, managing multi-stop deliveries typically involving around five stops per day. The role includes unloading trailers utilizing manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages while accurately scanning products during deliveries for inventory tracking.

Penske ensures that drivers operate late-model trucks maintained by Penske with best-in-class specifications focusing on comfort and safety. Trucks are equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to enhance driving safety and accountability. Beyond just driving, this role is about representing Penske and its clients by delivering outstanding customer service and building solid relationships with accounts. Drivers will frequently use branded trucks and uniforms that reflect the high standards of Penske and its clients.

This position offers an extensive benefits package from day one, including paid vacation and holidays. Health benefits cover medical, dental, and vision care, while additional coverage includes short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and AD&D insurance. Employees receive company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, access to an employee discount program, and can participate in a driver referral bonus program offering up to $5,000 per referral. There is also a safety incentive program and a Premier Driver Recognition Program that acknowledges and rewards exceptional performance.

Penske is known for paying every Friday and providing opportunities for career advancement with training programs and options to relocate within its nationwide network. Becoming part of Penske means joining a team of professional drivers dedicated to safety, efficiency, and quality service. The company places a high value on federal DOT compliance, safety awareness, and responsibility. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work with constant alertness in a safety-sensitive role as regulated by the Department of Transportation, including submitting to background and drug screenings.

Overall, this position with Penske Logistics provides not only competitive pay and benefits but also a chance to work with a stable, respected company that values its people and encourages long-term growth within the trucking industry.
