This job posting is for full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers based in Henderson, Texas, working with Penske Logistics LLC. The position boasts an average annual salary of $75,000 with the advantage of being local routes that offer home daily. Drivers will work as floaters covering various routes, with a preference for candidates who have flatbed and forklift experience. The company provides modern, late-model trucks via Penske Truck Leasing designed for optimum driver comfort and safety with the latest inward and outward facing in-cab cameras.
As a Class A CDL Truck Driver at Penske, your primary responsibility will be to safely transport construction materials to customer locations within local routes. You will use a Moffett forklift to unload trailers, manage an average of 10 to 25 stops per week, and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with customers. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and communication skills to ensure that every delivery maintains the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, with drivers being on call every third Saturday, and dispatch times range early in the morning between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. This offers a balanced work schedule that allows drivers to be home daily. Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Hold or ability to obtain non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year documented tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Follow all federal and state laws and regulations
- Regular, predictable, full attendance
- English language proficiency
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work safely and responsibly
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and meet physical demands of the job
