Job Description
Penske Logistics is a global leader in transportation, warehousing, and supply chain management solutions. With a presence spanning North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske provides innovative services tailored to meet the complex demands of market-leading companies. The company is dedicated to driving business results by increasing operational visibility and reducing supply-chain costs, making it an essential partner for businesses looking to enhance their logistics performance. Penske’s commitment to excellence is reflected in its use of state-of-the-art technology and best-in-class equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient freight transportation across all sectors.
This job opportunity is for a full-time local Class A CDL Truck Driver position offering an hourly wage of $24.75. The role involves driving late-model Penske trucks equipped with the latest comfort features and safety technology, including inward and outward facing in-cab cameras that promote a safer working environment. Drivers are responsible for shuttling auto parts on a dedicated route with no touch freight requirements, meaning the driver does not have to load or unload the freight themselves. Drivers enjoy the benefit of being home daily and working a predictable five-day workweek from Monday through Saturday with dispatch times that may vary but generally provide a good work-life balance.
In this role, the driver will typically complete 5 to 6 stops per week, focusing on professionalism and courteous customer interactions while representing the Penske brand and their clients’ brands. The company emphasizes safety and reliability in all aspects of its operations, supporting drivers with comprehensive training, excellent management, clear communication, and a culture that prioritizes safety above all else. Penske also offers an extensive benefits package from day one of employment, including paid vacation and holidays, generous retirement plans, comprehensive healthcare covering medical, dental, and vision, as well as life and disability insurance. Other benefits include company-provided uniforms, an employee discount program, a driver referral bonus of up to $5000, and safety and driver recognition incentive programs.
Working for Penske gives drivers the opportunity to grow their careers within a large, nationwide company known for its stability and superior equipment. The company fosters a supportive environment with many career advancement opportunities and encourages mobility across its wide network of locations. Drivers are paid weekly, with most home daily schedules, making this an ideal role for those seeking consistent hours and local driving assignments. If you are a professional CDL Class A driver who values safety, professionalism, and wants to join a team that respects your dedication, this Penske driving position offers an excellent career path.
