Job Requirements
- two years of related experience
- ability to read and understand instructions for safety and district policies and procedures
- valid Texas driver’s license in possession while operating Austin ISD vehicle
- acceptable driving record as determined by Austin ISD
- subject to random drug and alcohol testing
- ability to operate vehicles under 26,001 lbs GVWR with air brakes legally and safely
- able to follow AISD customer service standards
- ability to read, write and speak English and perform basic math
- physically capable of heavy lifting and working in various physical postures
- ability to work in climates including extreme hot and cold temperatures
Job Qualifications
- two years of related experience
- operational proficiency with electric powered pallet jacks and reach trucks
- knowledge of all motor vehicle laws and Austin ISD operations area
- ability to read, write and speak English
- basic mathematical skills
- valid Texas driver’s license
- acceptable driving record
Job Duties
- responsible for order filling, accurate product receiving or other route assignments
- responsible for an assigned Dry Truck or other delivery route
- distribute and pick up district assets including secure and non-secure delivery of material, food, books, furniture and electronics
- work safely near and with vehicles, material handling equipment, machinery or power/hand tools
- assist staff and visitors with selection and pick up of food, supplies, furniture and other assets
- accurately consolidates, wraps, packages and stages orders for shipping
- loads and unloads vehicles as required and according to scheduled delivery
