The CDL Class A Driver role at BakeMark is a critical position responsible for the safe and efficient operation of commercial vehicles to transport bakery goods to customer locations, distribution centers, and other assigned destinations. This role demands strict compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and adherence to company safety policies to ensure the security of both the driver and the products being delivered. In addition to operating a commercial vehicle, the driver is expected to maintain accuracy with delivery receipts, properly handle payments when applicable, and keep thorough logs of operations. The position also requires loading and unloading merchandise, inspecting truck equipment such as tires, brakes, and lights, and safely operating power equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks. Communication with branch management is essential to relay any delivery updates or issues efficiently. Drivers at BakeMark must demonstrate impeccable customer service skills by responding positively to all customer inquiries and treating internal and external customers with respect and courtesy.
