Job Description

Penske Logistics is a premier logistics and transportation company specializing in providing state-of-the-art supply chain management solutions to leading businesses worldwide. Operating across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske Logistics is dedicated to enhancing visibility, reducing supply-chain costs, and delivering top-notch service that drives powerful business results. Known for its commitment to safety, employee well-being, and operational excellence, Penske has built a reputation as one of the most reliable and professional transportation providers in the industry. With an emphasis on quality and efficiency, Penske Logistics supports numerous market-leading companies, ensuring their products reach destinations safely and on time.

The company currently has immediate openings for full-time Local Class B Delivery Truck Drivers. These positions offer an average annual salary of $62,900 and a work schedule from Sunday through Thursday, with third-shift dispatch. Being home daily and servicing dedicated routes provides a stable and predictable work-life balance. Drivers will operate late-model trucks leased from Penske Truck Leasing, which boast best-in-class specifications designed for maximum comfort and safety. These vehicles are equipped with advanced inward- and outward-facing in-cab cameras to enhance safety protocols for both drivers and the goods they transport.

The role of the Local Class B Delivery Truck Driver is pivotal within Penske’s operations. Drivers are responsible for performing multi-stop deliveries of automotive parts and supplies to various automotive dealerships. They use manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages to unload trailers efficiently. Accuracy is critical as drivers use scanners to log products while unloading and delivering them, ensuring that inventory records are correct and clients receive the right items. This position also demands a high degree of adherence to safety standards and federal and state regulations governing commercial vehicle operation.

Working with Penske means joining a team of professional drivers who value excellent customer service and strong relationships with their accounts. Drivers represent not only Penske but also the clients they serve – often driving client-branded trucks and wearing corresponding uniforms. Penske puts a strong emphasis on training and development, with opportunities for career growth and movement across different locations nationwide, making it an excellent choice for drivers seeking a long-term career in transportation. Penske’s reputation for clear communication, exceptional equipment, and a solid safety record adds to the appeal of this role.

Beyond competitive pay, Penske offers comprehensive benefits from day one of employment, including paid vacation and holidays, generous retirement plans, excellent healthcare coverage encompassing medical, dental, and vision care, disability insurance, life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and company-provided uniforms and safety footwear. Employees also enjoy a discount program, a driver referral bonus of up to $5,000, safety incentives, and recognition through the Premier Driver Recognition Program. This benefits package reflects the company's commitment to ensuring that their associates and their families remain happy, healthy, and secure.

In summary, the full-time Local Class B Delivery Truck Driver position at Penske offers competitive compensation, benefits, and a work environment that values safety, professionalism, and career growth. Prospective candidates who are licensed, safety-conscious, and customer-service oriented will find Penske an excellent place to advance their truck driving career.
