The Delivery Driver role at Core-Mark is a vital position within the company’s operations, serving as a cornerstone in America’s food supply chain. This position offers competitive compensation, with an annual salary between $70,000 and $75,000. The drivers work a Monday through Friday schedule with dispatch times between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m., and some overnight stays are required, for which hotels and per diem expenses are provided. The role requires working collaboratively within the team and organization, handling various duties associated with product delivery and customer interaction.

Delivery Drivers use their skills to operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks safely and efficiently on both intrastate and interstate local routes. Responsibilities include performing safety inspections of vehicles and trailers before and after trips, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Drivers are responsible for verifying loads, securing freight, completing accurate delivery paperwork, and maintaining ongoing communication with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.

Additionally, drivers unload deliveries, handle damaged goods, and process returns, all while upholding high standards of service and safety. Keeping the vehicle, trailer, and loading dock areas clean and organized is also part of the daily responsibilities.
