The position available is for a Food and Food Service Delivery Driver, a critical role focused on maintaining the nation’s food supply system. The driver plays an essential part in ensuring that food products reach their destination safely, on time, and in excellent condition. This role offers competitive compensation ranging between $80,000 to $100,000 annually, acknowledging the importance and responsibility drivers hold within the operational framework. Drivers act as the company’s ambassadors, directly interacting with customers and building lasting relationships through professional communication and dependable service. Their duties extend beyond transportation, involving safety inspections, loading and unloading freight, damage assessment, and precise documentation to meet Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies. The role also demands physical strength to handle freight weighing anywhere from 10 to 90 pounds using equipment such as hand trucks and lift gates. By joining Core-Mark, drivers gain access to excellent benefits including day one health coverage, employee stock purchase plans, 401K employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and numerous other incentives. This opportunity not only offers immediate financial rewards but also long-term career growth in a company that leads with integrity and inclusivity within the food distribution arena.
