UFP Transportation, a division of UFP Industries, is currently seeking a full-time Class A CDL Driver for their Dallas, TX location at 4900 Fitchburg St. The ideal candidate is a dependable, motivated professional with a clean driving record who will play a pivotal role in delivering cargo safely and efficiently. The position offers a stable work schedule, allowing the driver to return home daily, which supports a healthy work-life balance.
In this role, the driver will operate commercial vehicles weighing up to 80,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight, handle route deliveries primarily Monday through Wednesday, and manage specialized Hardie loads on Thursdays and Fridays. These duties require comfort and proficiency with forklift operations for unloading cargo. Attention to detail is critical, as drivers must maintain accurate logs using advanced Electronic Logging Device (ELD) systems, conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections, and ensure the securement of all loads in compliance with safety, DOT, and company regulations.
The driver will also be responsible for maintaining detailed driving records, verifying shipping documents for correctness, and obtaining customer signatures upon delivery to facilitate smooth transactions. Continuous training under management supervision ensures adherence to the highest safety standards and operational excellence. Job Requirements
- Valid and current Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 12th grade education
- At least 1 year of experience driving commercial vehicles up to 26,000 lbs
- Clean driving record with no DOT recordable accidents in the last three years
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination
- Forklift operating experience
- Capable of physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs, pushing, pulling, twisting, standing, walking, and bending
- Reliable and motivated work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have valid and current Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 12th grade basic education completed
- Minimum 1 year experience driving a commercial vehicle up to 26,000 lbs
- Must not have any DOT recordable accidents in the past three years
- Must be able to pass a physical examination (DOT required)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, push/pull, twist, stand, walk, bend at the waist, and handle material
Job Duties
- Drive home daily routes
- Forklift experience

- Complete required driving log on highly developed ELD system
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment
- Secure loads and/or inspect loads to ensure proper securement
- Perform duties consistent with all applicable safety, DOT, and Company rules and regulations
- Maintain appropriate driving records, logs, and shipping documents as required
- Verify shipping documents for accuracy and obtain customer signatures upon delivery
- Complete training as required by management
