The current opportunity is for a Traveling Field Turnstile Installation Technician who will play a critical role in the deployment team. This position is full-time and hourly, with eligibility for overtime pay, reflecting the company's commitment to fair compensation. As a travel-heavy, field-based role operating across the Northeast United States, this job requires a technically skilled technician who is comfortable and enthusiastic about working in diverse settings, often on the road. The Technician will be responsible for installing, wiring, testing, and commissioning advanced turnstile systems and related access control hardware. Projects vary in duration and complexity, ranging from brief installations lasting a few days to extensive assignments spanning several weeks. Paid training is provided to ensure all technicians are adept at using SES Integrators' systems, tools, and follow established installation standards strictly.

The role entails traveling to multiple job sites throughout the Northeast U.S., working with a range of hardware including turnstiles, speed gates, ADA gates, revolving doors, and associated security components. Responsibilities include performing electrical and low-voltage work such as power feed installation, reader and controller wiring, network and communication cabling, and reading and interpreting electrical and shop drawings. The Technician will assist with configuring access control components like readers, controllers, and keypads, and will perform system testing, troubleshooting, and punch-list completion to guarantee each installation meets or exceeds standards. Collaboration with project managers, general contractors, and other trades is essential, as is the completion of daily field reports, timesheets, and materials tracking. The Technician is expected to rigorously follow all safety protocols and SES installation standards, emphasizing the company’s commitment to a safe and professional work environment.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical, low-voltage, or access control installation
  • Willingness to work in a travel-based field role
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Flexibility for occasional nights or weekends based on project needs

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical, low-voltage, or access control installation
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with turnstile or physical security system installation preferred
  • Knowledge of access control platforms such as Software House, Lenel, Honeywell preferred
  • Basic networking knowledge including IP devices, Power over Ethernet, switches preferred
  • OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification preferred

Job Duties
