The role of Travel Program Manager at Medline plays a critical part in supporting its global operations. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $92,000 to $138,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and is eligible for bonuses or incentives. The Travel Program Manager will lead and optimize the corporate travel program, ensuring seamless compliance with travel policies while enhancing traveler experiences across all business units and regions.
The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive travel policies aligned with both corporate objectives and regional regulatory requirements. They will manage and optimize crucial vendor relationships, including Travel Management Companies (TMCs), Online Booking Tools (OBTs), corporate card providers, and travel technology platforms like Concur and BCD Travel, which are vital for travel operations. As the primary liaison between internal departments and external providers, this role demands excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to maintain smooth travel logistics and address any challenges.
In addition to policy management, this role involves analyzing travel spend patterns and trends to identify cost-saving opportunities, refine policy frameworks, and improve traveler behavior insights. The Travel Program Manager is charged with overseeing key performance indicators among travel service providers such as airlines, hotels, and car services, ensuring the delivery of cost-effective, quality services.
The position also requires leadership in change management and training initiatives. The Travel Program Manager will develop communications and training programs supporting any travel-related organizational changes, helping employees adapt and comply with updates efficiently. They will also be responsible for traveler support, serving as an escalation point in the event of travel disruptions or emergencies.
Collaboration is a key aspect of this role, working closely with Finance, Compliance, and external partners to ensure global travel policy adherence, especially concerning expenses and legal standards. Furthermore, the Travel Program Manager ensures traveler safety and duty of care by coordinating with cross-functional teams on requirements like visas, passports, and immunizations, which is critical in supporting Medline’s worldwide footprint.

Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in corporate travel management
- strong knowledge of travel industry tools and platforms
- proven experience in vendor negotiation, policy development, and program analytics

Job Qualifications

- preferred certifications include PMP, GBTA Global Travel Professional (GTP), or equivalent
Job Duties
