Job Description
ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is a distinguished healthcare staffing company that has been providing skilled healthcare professionals across the United States since 2004. Originally founded in Atlanta, Georgia, ADEX has grown to become a nationally recognized leader in the healthcare staffing industry with its headquarters now located in Tampa, Florida. The organization is known for its commitment to quality and reliability, having maintained JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) certification since 2009, which underscores its adherence to high standards in healthcare and staffing services. ADEX specializes in placing qualified healthcare professionals, including registered nurses, in diverse healthcare settings ranging from hospitals to specialized medical centers across the country.
ADEX Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced travel nurse for a Registered Nurse position in the Operating Room (RN OR) specialty. This travel nursing opportunity is based in Denver, Colorado, a city renowned for its vibrant urban culture, excellent quality of life, and access to the stunning natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Denver is a hub for healthcare professionals, offering ample career advancement opportunities and a dynamic environment that balances professional growth with lifestyle benefits.
This position is a travel assignment lasting 13 weeks, requiring a commitment of 36 hours per week, working 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The travel nurse will be embedded within a comprehensive medical center featuring a state-of-the-art Main Operating Room equipped with 16 operating rooms. The facility is known for its advanced surgical services including complex procedures like total joint replacements, spine surgeries, organ transplants (kidney and liver), robotics, vascular, ENT, and plastics surgeries. The role demands a nurse with an active RN license, ideally with over three years of OR experience and a transplant skill set, capable of managing on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time. The call schedule rotates through first, second, and third call shifts across weekdays and weekends over eight-week periods, requiring adaptability and readiness.
The work environment integrates modern medical technologies, including the EMR system Meditech, ensuring efficiency and precision in patient care documentation and coordination. This travel nurse role offers a meaningful and challenging opportunity for professionals seeking to expand their expertise in operating room nursing while experiencing the extensive cultural and recreational amenities of Denver. The assignment also includes a competitive pay package, with details on tax-free stipends to be confirmed, and a $750 referral bonus incentive.
Eligible candidates must be able to start within five weeks, with the possibility of assignment extension based on performance and facility needs. This role offers a unique blend of professional development, hands-on clinical experience in a high-acuity surgical setting, and the chance to work with a top-tier healthcare organization dedicated to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
