Job Requirements

Valid Massachusetts RN license
At least 2 years of PACU phase 1 recovery experience with complex cases
Ability to independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Current PALS certification
Pediatric care experience
Ability to pass telemetry test with 84% or higher on day 1
Flexibility to float to other PACU units

Job Qualifications

Current Massachusetts RN license
Minimum 2 years of PACU experience including phase 1 recovery
Pediatric experience required
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification
TNCC certification preferred

Job Duties

Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring to patients recovering from complex surgical procedures
Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
Manage PACU phase 1 recovery for neuro, thoracic, vascular, ortho spine, trauma, pediatrics, cardiac cath, IR, and EP cases
Administer pediatric patient care and monitor for complications
Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Participate in a telemetry test and achieve required competency
Float to Moakley PACU if needed
