Job Requirements

  • Valid Massachusetts RN license
  • At least 2 years of PACU phase 1 recovery experience with complex cases
  • Ability to independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • Pediatric care experience
  • Ability to pass telemetry test with 84% or higher on day 1
  • Flexibility to float to other PACU units

Job Qualifications

  • Current Massachusetts RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of PACU experience including phase 1 recovery
  • Pediatric experience required
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • TNCC certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring to patients recovering from complex surgical procedures
  • Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
  • Manage PACU phase 1 recovery for neuro, thoracic, vascular, ortho spine, trauma, pediatrics, cardiac cath, IR, and EP cases
  • Administer pediatric patient care and monitor for complications
  • Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in a telemetry test and achieve required competency
  • Float to Moakley PACU if needed
