Job Requirements

  • Valid active RN license in Louisiana
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in oncology nursing
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Availability to work 12-hour night shifts
  • Willingness to relocate to Shreveport, LA for 13-week assignment
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana
  • Proven experience in oncology nursing
  • Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) preferred
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Job Duties

  • Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments safely and accurately
  • Monitor patient vital signs and responses to treatments
  • Educate patients and families about managing symptoms and treatment side effects
  • Collaborate with oncology team members to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes thoroughly
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols
