Job Requirements

  • Valid and current RN license
  • Minimum of one year labor and delivery experience
  • BLS certification
  • AWHONN Advanced certification
  • NRP Advanced certification including all 11 components
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
  • Ability to perform vaginal exams
  • Ability to provide newborn care
  • Availability to work two weekends every six weeks including Friday nights when scheduled
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week
  • No pending licenses accepted
  • No on-call or float requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Current RN license
  • Minimum one year of labor and delivery nursing experience
  • Certifications including BLS, AWHONN Advanced, NRP Advanced with all components, Advanced Fetal Monitoring
  • Ability to perform vaginal exams and baby care
  • Experience with 100 to 300+ births
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of Cerner electronic health records

Job Duties

  • Provide labor and delivery nursing care to patients
  • Monitor maternal and fetal status using advanced fetal monitoring techniques
  • Perform vaginal exams and assist with birth procedures
  • Administer newborn care including initial assessments and resuscitation
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient safety and quality care
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation in Cerner
  • Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards
