Job Requirements

  • One year recent (within the last three years) full-time equivalent experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Registered nurse license (in the state where care is provided)
  • Basic life support
  • Advanced neonatal resuscitation program

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Registered nurse license in the state where care is provided
  • Basic life support certification
  • Advanced neonatal resuscitation program certification
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
  • Five or more years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience preferred
  • One year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years preferred
  • High risk OB experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide specialized nursing care to laboring mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs
  • Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques
  • Support physicians and midwives during delivery procedures
  • Educate and counsel new mothers on postpartum care and newborn care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards
