Job Description

Fastaff Travel Nursing is a reputable healthcare staffing organization that has pioneered the practice of Rapid Response4 travel nurse staffing over the past two decades. The company has earned a distinguished reputation as a leading provider of urgent and critical temporary registered nurses, dedicated to helping hospitals maintain uninterrupted, high-quality patient care. Partnering with many of the nations largest and most prestigious healthcare facilities, as well as community hospitals, Fastaff offers enriching employment opportunities for registered nurses and ensures the highest pay in the industry. This commitment to both professional support and competitive compensation makes Fastaff a top choice for travel nurses who seek rewarding assignments and professional growth.

The role of a travel nurse RN CVICU at Fastaff Travel Nursing is an exciting opportunity to work in St Helena, California, a region well-known for its beautiful landscapes, favorable climate, and excellent healthcare facilities. This position is a travel assignment, therefore it extends for a limited duration—13 weeks—giving nurses the chance to experience new environments and patient care settings. The assignment demands 48 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour night shifts, ideally suited for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, critical care environments. As a CVICU RN, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients experiencing life-threatening cardiac conditions such as heart attacks, cardiac dysrhythmia, and other complexities requiring continuous monitoring and expert intervention.

In this position, you will become an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that focuses on cardiac care and recovery in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU). Your expertise will contribute directly to improved patient outcomes as you deliver high standards of nursing care, closely observe cardiac patients, manage interventions, administer medications, and communicate critical information to physicians and healthcare providers. Apart from patient care, the role also requires adaptability and the ability to quickly integrate into new clinical settings, being flexible to changing demands and protocols that come with travel nursing.

Travel nursing with Fastaff offers not only competitive pay—which includes a tax-free stipend to be determined based on the 48-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts—but also the priceless opportunity to broaden your clinical experience, sharpen critical care skills, and explore notable destinations like St Helena. Known for its beautiful coasts, majestic mountains, and favorable weather, St Helena provides an ideal balance of professional challenge and personal adventure. Moreover, travel nursing fosters a spirit of continuous learning and service, perfect for RNs seeking to advance their careers in cardiac critical care while enjoying diverse cultural and environmental experiences.

Fastaff Travel Nursing is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive workplace. The company employs advanced AI technology for streamlined staffing processes while maintaining strict adherence to privacy and communication standards. By embracing innovation, Fastaff continues to enhance nurse placement success and satisfaction, reinforcing its position as a preferred partner in travel nursing careers.
