American Traveler is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing assignment at a short-term acute care teaching hospital located in Vero Beach, Florida. This travel nursing opportunity is specifically designed for professionals with a minimum of two years of Labor and Delivery experience, equipped with current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications. The position begins on April 7, 2026, for a duration of 13 weeks, offering 36 hours per week over three 12-hour night shifts. The role involves working in a dynamic Labor and Delivery unit within a 332-bed facility that serves a diverse patient population, including laboring mothers requiring immediate fetal heart monitoring, obstetric care, mother-baby/postpartum, and newborn nursery/transition cases. Charting responsibilities will be managed through the Epic electronic medical records system.

This role requires flexibility as floating among three affiliated hospitals within approximately 20 miles is necessary, yet it offers no on-call requirements. Candidates must be prepared to wear white scrubs and adhere to the facility's strict nicotine-free policy, confirmed via a negative 10-panel drug screen that includes cotinine. Parking is conveniently free within unrestricted spaces, and time-sensitive onboarding modules are required promptly upon assignment confirmation. While block scheduling is not available, the position welcomes both first-time travel nurses and local candidates who can apply at the same rate. This travel RN role provides a unique chance to enhance clinical skills in a supportive teaching hospital environment while enjoying the benefits and adventure that come with travel nursing. The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, complemented by a tax-free stipend, with precise compensation details to be confirmed.
