This role requires strong sales abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in multitasking and computer navigation across various platforms. Successful candidates will develop lasting relationships with members, encourage repeat and referral business, and cross-sell additional services such as credit cards and identity theft referrals that enhance the overall travel experience.
Through The Auto Club University, Travel Consultants receive extensive training, including paid educational study trips, to develop their expertise and prepare for future leadership roles. Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- must pass comprehensive criminal background check
- must pass thorough urine sample drug screening
- minimum two years sales experience in a performance-driven environment
- ability to work most Saturdays and some evenings
- willingness to travel for training
- computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and ability to multitask
- strong communication skills
- driven to exceed sales goals
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required, 2- or 4-year college degree preferred
- passion for travel and desire to share travel expertise
- availability to work most Saturdays and some evenings
- ability to complete the Travel Consultant Trainee program including travel for training
- sales-driven with goal orientation
- proficiency in navigating multiple computer systems and Microsoft Office
- typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
- strong organizational skills and comfort with paperwork
Job Duties
- Sell international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, travel itineraries, air, car, and hotel
- share knowledge and expertise from personal experiences and educational study trips
- develop long standing relationships with members and build referral and repeat business
- make appropriate recommendations to ensure trip experience exceeds members expectations
- cross sell relevant products such as AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identity theft referrals
- participate in ongoing training and meet sales goals
- prepare personalized travel plans tailored to member needs
