The role of Retail General Manager at Pilot Flying J offers an exciting opportunity to lead high-volume retail facilities within a premier network of travel centers. This leadership position involves the comprehensive responsibility of generating and executing business plans for travel centers and restaurants to achieve specified standards, sales targets, profitability goals, and most importantly, customer satisfaction. The Retail General Manager ensures that customer expectations are consistently met by driving a strong customer-focused culture. They are responsible for conducting effective meetings with team members, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and overseeing multiple operational facets including staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training to build and develop high-performing teams.

Furthermore, the Retail General Manager takes charge of driving sales initiatives, managing the performance and development of the team, tracking inventory, providing excellent customer service, and performing detailed profit and loss (P&L) analyses to maintain financial health and efficiency of the retail operation. Offered compensation for this role starts between $52,000 and $75,420 per year, reflecting the importance and scope of this position within Pilot Flying J's expansive operational network. The role requires a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends, and holidays to ensure continuous operational excellence. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery or related service industry with responsibility for financial results
