Job Requirements

  • Minimum of five years recent clinical experience in trauma, emergency, or critical care
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks and prioritize activities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse in Nebraska or current compact state license
  • Current trauma nursing core course (TNCC) or advanced trauma care for nursing (ATCN) certification or completion within 6 months of hire

Job Duties

  • Partner with the trauma program manager to assist with trauma program operations related to performance improvement, education, outreach, and injury prevention activities
  • Participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of trauma program with a multidisciplinary approach
  • Organize and coordinate accredited trauma education courses such as ATLS, TNCC, ATCN, DMEP, Stop the Bleed, TCAR, and PCAR
  • Collaborate with internal departments for coordinated trauma patient care
  • Work with referral hospitals and state personnel to support assessment of care across the regional trauma system
  • Support community trauma education initiatives alongside outreach and injury prevention coordinator
  • Identify and address trauma education needs through on-demand learning and training programs
