Job Requirements

  • must be at least 25 years of age
  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • one year of experience in guest services or public dealing
  • ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico driver’s license
  • class B CDL with passenger endorsement preferred
  • must pass stringent background check
  • must pass pre-employment and random drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • at least one year of experience in guest services or public dealing
  • knowledge of vehicle operation including manual and automatic transmissions
  • excellent guest service skills
  • knowledge of local streets, roads and airports including Albuquerque area
  • understanding of safety practices related to vehicle operation
  • ability to drive in adverse weather conditions
  • ability to maintain updated certifications
  • ability to respond professionally to public inquiries

Job Duties

  • delivers the highest level of service while interacting with guests, peer and other Sandia employees
  • travels to assigned destinations transporting guests to and from the casino, resort, airport and approved destinations
  • completes pre-inspection and records vehicle information before departure
  • communicates and acknowledges dispatcher information effectively
  • follows departmental standard operational procedures
  • complies with all traffic regulations
  • assists passengers and their baggage including loading and unloading
  • reports delays, traffic citations, incidents and accidents
  • advises passengers on safety requirements during travel
  • regulates heating, lighting and ventilation for passenger comfort
  • makes minor vehicle repairs or replacements including changing tires
  • maintains cleanliness of vehicles at all times
  • builds professional relationships with internal and external contacts maintaining a friendly demeanor
  • maintains punctuality and regular attendance according to the attendance policy
  • serves as initial point of contact for guest inquiries
  • demonstrates empathy and resolves guest issues timely to ensure satisfaction
  • possesses comprehensive knowledge of products and services offered
  • builds respect-based relationships with guests
  • performs other job-related duties as assigned
