Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 25 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of experience in guest services or dealing with the public
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver's License
  • Class B CDL with passenger endorsement preferred
  • Must pass a stringent background investigation
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as balancing, crouching, feeling, finger dexterity, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, pulling up to 50 lbs, pushing up to 50 lbs, reaching, seeing, walking, sitting, standing, stooping, and talking
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors under varying weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of experience in guest services or dealing with the general public
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Knowledge of vehicle operation including air brakes
  • Familiarity with Albuquerque streets, roads, and airports
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety practices related to vehicle operation
  • Ability to make minor vehicle repairs
  • Ability to maintain and update proper certifications
  • Ability to respond to public inquiries

Job Duties

  • Delivers the highest level of service while interacting with guests, peer and other Sandia employees
  • Travels to assigned destinations transporting guests to and from the casino, resort, airport and other approved destinations
  • Completes pre-inspections and documents all information on inspection sheets on vehicles prior to departure
  • Clearly communicates and acknowledges information provided by the dispatcher
  • Follows all departmental standard operating procedures
  • Complies with all traffic regulations
  • Assists passengers and their baggage including loading and unloading
  • Reports delays, traffic citations, incidents and accidents
  • Advises passengers on safety requirements and encourages orderly behavior
  • Regulates vehicle heating, lighting and ventilation for passenger comfort
  • Performs minor vehicle repairs and tire changes when necessary
  • Maintains cleanliness of all vehicles
  • Builds professional relationships with internal and external contacts maintaining a friendly demeanor
  • Maintains punctual and regular attendance as required by the attendance policy
