The role of Transport Side Events Manager within FIFA26 is vital to the success of the transportation operations for the FIFA World Cup 26™. Positioned within the Event Transportation team and reporting to the Senior Manager of Transport Integration, this fixed-term contract position based in Miami focuses on delivering seamless transportation logistics specifically for special events. The manager will work closely with multiple internal teams, including the Special Events Team, Transport Client Services, Guest Operations, and Operational Services, ensuring all transportation activities are fully integrated with the broader event plans.
The Transport Side Events Manager’s responsibilities center on coordinating complex transport operations ahead of and during the tournament. They must manage the logistics of transportation for multiple test events, ensure accurate data entry and operational support using specialized platforms such as Monday.com and WeTrack, and conduct thorough site inspections at various venues and facilities. A vital component of the role involves collaborating with external partners to obtain road closure permits and align transport plans with venue operations. This role demands a highly organized individual with an ability to maintain critical documentation for future reference and legacy planning.

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business administration, management, leadership, entrepreneurship)
- postgraduate education focusing on international organizations or sport management preferred but not required
- minimum of 3 years of event transport-related work experience, ideally within football, sports, or major events
- transport operations experience at at least one international mega event, preferably multiple world-class sporting events (e.g., FIFA World Cup™, Olympic Games, regional football tournaments)
- experience working in multi-functional event organizations and dynamic, fast-paced environments
- proven leadership experience in managing teams and delivering complex projects
- experience collaborating with public and private sector partners, with the ability to build strong working relationships
- highly organized and detail-oriented

Job Duties
- Integrate with all functions within event transport
- coordinate with all FIFA functional areas and transport systems to ensure plans align with overall event transport strategies
- support the delivery of transport operations for all test events before the FIFA World Cup 26™
- support planning for all test events including IFES data entry and management for special event staff travels and project management in Monday.com or WeTrack
- conduct site visits across venues, sites, and facilities to observe, document, and assess transport-related features and operations
- assist with obtaining necessary road closure permits for special events
- assist with development of special event transport plans and alignment with event venue operations staff
- maintain a well-organized library of key documentation for easy access and future reference
- perform any other duties as required
