The Training Center & Events Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining the seamless operation of Astec's Training Centers. This position is responsible for managing scheduling, coordinating logistics, and supporting facility upkeep, ensuring that meetings, training sessions, and events are executed with professionalism and efficiency. The role requires a versatile individual with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of balancing multiple tasks such as calendar management, vendor coordination, budgeting, catering, and facility maintenance. The coordinator serves as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders, meeting hosts, and external vendors, fostering a smooth and collaborative environment. Additionally, this position ensures compliance with health and safety standards, manages kitchen operations, and supports administrative functions to uphold the high standards of Astec’s training facilities. This role demands a customer-service-oriented mindset, a professional demeanor, and the ability to problem-solve effectively in a fast-paced office and occasional manufacturing setting. Candidates must be adept at Microsoft Office applications and able to manage budgets and expenses related to training center operations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in administrative or operations role preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

- Ability to work onsite in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Job Duties
- Manage scheduling for all meeting and training spaces within Training Centers
- Maintain and administer the master calendar for all onsite meetings and training events, including multi-day events
- Coordinate with meeting hosts to confirm requirements, timelines, and logistics
- Support meetings and training sessions with general logistics, setup coordination, and follow-up needs
- Schedule and coordinate catering services for meetings and training events
- Collaborate with catering staff and vendors to create aligned menus
- Maintain kitchen areas in compliance with health department standards
- Monitor and restock kitchen supplies and equipment
- Conduct inspections of facilities to maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality
- Submit and track maintenance requests and coordinate repairs with vendors
- Manage budget and track expenses related to Training Center operations
- Process invoices with proper documentation and approvals
- Serve as primary contact for scheduling and logistics inquiries
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency
- Provide administrative support related to Training Center operations as needed
