Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age upon completion of classroom training
- Successfully complete customer service aptitude test
- Successfully complete drug screening and pre-employment medical exam
- Ability to lift heavy items
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Able to work varied hours and days off including up to eight days away from home crew base
- Must wear company-provided uniform and comply with grooming policies
- High school diploma or GED
Job Qualifications
- Food and beverage handling experience
- Cash handling and customer contact experience
- Experience in housekeeping
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Some college or food service industry or transportation-related training preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate friendly, outgoing, and courteous disposition
Job Duties
- Ensure safe, comfortable, and pleasant journey for coach and sleeping car passengers
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned train cars and restrooms
- Provide first-class amenities in sleeping cars including making beds and changing linens
- Assist elderly and disabled passengers boarding and detraining
- Handle passenger boarding, detraining, and baggage assistance
- Load and unload supplies, maintain supply inventory
- Perform dining car service and related side work as directed
- Work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
