The Traffic Coordinator role at FUJIFILM Sonosite is a vital position within the logistics and supply chain management team. This position acts as the primary liaison for all transportation-related inquiries, interfacing with internal stakeholders, external customers, carriers, brokers, Customs officials, and other governmental agencies. The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods by managing import and export compliance, including classification, valuation, and country of origin determinations. This role also oversees hazardous materials (HazMat) regulations and certifies shipping personnel, contributing to the overall safety and compliance of the shipping process.

In this role, the Traffic Coordinator manages claims related to loss or damage alongside carriers and insurance entities, ensuring any setbacks in shipments are resolved effectively. They coordinate transportation and logistics activities in partnership with local and international third-party logistics providers, offering critical support during peak shipping periods, unexpected emergencies, and unusual shipment requirements.

The position demands a candidate familiar with ISO-certified and Lean manufacturing environments, reflecting FUJIFILM Sonosite's commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle is essential, alongside certifications in HazMat, DOT, and IATA standards. A working knowledge of Incoterms and regulatory guidelines including 49 CFR, 19 CFR, BIS, EAR, and HTS demonstrates the comprehensive expertise required.
