Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain, law, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in trade compliance
- strong knowledge of WEEE, battery, and environmental regulations
- familiarity with hardware certification processes
- experience with customs documentation and export control classifications
- excellent organizational and communication skills
- ability to work cross-functionally with legal, engineering, and logistics teams
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Law, or related field from an accredited, not for profit university or college
- 5+ years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in the electronics or hardware sector
- Strong knowledge of WEEE, battery directives, and environmental compliance in the EU and other regions
- Familiarity with hardware certification processes
- Experience with customs documentation, HTS codes, and export control classifications (ECCN)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, engineering, and logistics teams
Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, including import/export controls, customs regulations, and dual-use goods
- Manage and maintain compliance with WEEE, battery, and packaging regulations across applicable jurisdictions
- Oversee product certifications and ensure documentation is up to date
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure hardware meets regulatory requirements before market entry
- Monitor and manage logistics compliance, including HTS classification, country of origin, and Incoterms
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory bodies to resolve compliance issues
- Maintain internal compliance documentation and audit trails to ensure accurate records
