Job Requirements

  • 6+ years of increased responsibility in import customs compliance roles
  • licensed Customs Broker license preferred
  • advanced tariff classification experience and managing classification programs
  • knowledge of US Customs programs including antidumping and countervailing duty orders, and PGAs such as FDA, EPA
  • proficiency with MS Office and SAP-GTS
  • strong analytical skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work in a hybrid work environment in Cupertino, CA

Job Qualifications

  • 6+ years in customs/trade compliance managing large US import compliance programs for professional service/fortune 500/high tech companies/large shipping, transportation, supply chain companies
  • extensive experience with classification of imports for US, very familiar with HTS Code/CROSS/GRI, relevant chapters include 84, 85, 903
  • auditing, communicating, coordinating with external vendors on a regular basis
  • leveraging Excel and SAP or other large ERP systems for classification and driving KPI/data analysis
  • licensed Customs Broker license preferred
  • experience with Section 321 and 301 import regulations
  • proficiency with US Customs programs including antidumping and countervailing duty orders, and Partner Government Agencies such as FDA, EPA
  • proficiency in MS Office and SAP-GTS

Job Duties

  • support the global trade classification program and other classification teams globally
  • conduct classification analysis to arrive at an accurate Harmonized Tariff Schedule code using various trade tools
  • maintain and monitor previous part classifications in SAP-GTS to ensure consistent and valid tariff numbers
  • monitor, measure and develop reports with key performance indicators
  • evaluate new government requirements and partner with regional teams to ensure import compliance
  • perform global classification and duty analysis on various products
  • lead global classification audits and root cause any errors
  • manage classification specific projects as assigned
  • create and maintain processes and procedures
  • create effective and clear communication with stakeholders
