- minimum four years experience in culinary or food and beverage industry
- or two-year accredited degree in culinary arts or related major
- minimum two years relevant professional experience
- ability to lead and manage kitchen teams

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED plus four years culinary or food service experience
- or two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related field plus two years relevant experience

- excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Job Duties
- Develops new culinary applications, ideas, and products for the restaurant
- supervises restaurant kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with food and beverage policies
- maintains food preparation, handling, and storage standards
- plans and manages food quantities and plating requirements
- communicates production needs to key personnel
- assists in developing daily and seasonal menu items
- ensures compliance with laws and regulations
- prepares and cooks foods
- checks the quality of raw and cooked food products
- creates decorative food displays
- supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and kitchen workers
- leads and influences team with interpersonal and communication skills
- manages day-to-day kitchen operations and employee productivity
- trains and cross-trains employees
- manages employee discipline and performance appraisals
- resolves guest problems and complaints
- interacts with guests for feedback
- participates in hiring and training
- attends and participates in relevant meetings
- sets kitchen performance and budget goals
- ensures company safety standards are met
