Job Description

Colonial Country Club is a distinguished and iconic private club located in Fort Worth, Texas. Established in 1936, it has a rich heritage and a long-standing tradition of excellence, making it a legendary institution in the region. Known for its stunning environment and welcoming atmosphere, Colonial Country Club offers members and guests a unique space to gather, dine, and pursue their passions in an environment that feels like a home away from home. The club prides itself on fostering genuine connections among its community members while maintaining an unwavering commitment to high standards in hospitality and service. Its storied history and dynamic pursuit of excellence have positioned Colonial as a premier destination for private club experiences in Fort Worth and beyond.

The Tournament Sales & Experience Coordinator role at Colonial Country Club plays an essential part in supporting the revenue generation strategy for one of the club’s most prestigious events: the Charles Schwab Challenge, a premier PGA TOUR event held annually. This full-time position focuses on local market prospecting and lead generation while executing key sponsorship, hospitality, branding, and ticketing opportunities that fuel the success of the tournament. The role demands a proactive and detail-oriented professional who is committed to delivering excellent client experiences, from the initial outreach through to final fulfillment.

In this capacity, the Tournament Sales & Experience Coordinator will be tasked with conducting strategic research using CRM platforms, business directories, and professional networks to identify and nurture local sponsor prospects. They will maintain a qualified lead pipeline and foster long-term relationships with local business partners, ensuring the steady growth of incremental revenue streams tied to hospitality, branding, and ticketing assets. Administrative responsibilities include assisting the Director of Sales with contract generation, proposal development, delivering polished sales presentations, maintaining sales databases, and executing professional client correspondence.

Event execution and fulfillment also fall under this role’s purview, requiring close coordination with key internal partners to guarantee the accurate and timely delivery of sales-related products and services. This extends to managing participant renewals, handling player registrations, and ensuring stellar sponsor hospitality during tournament week for seamless client experiences. Additionally, the coordinator will engage in special projects that may span survey distribution, data collection, and logistical support involving corporate merchandise. Flexibility in working hours — especially during the tournament week with evening and weekend commitments — is vital, reflecting the fast-paced and dynamic nature of the environment.

The ideal candidate will bring 2 to 4 years of sales support, sponsorship, or event coordination experience, preferably within sports or hospitality industries. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, sports management, or a related field is preferred. Exceptional interpersonal skills are necessary to lead conversations and build relationships with diverse stakeholders effectively. Strong written and verbal communication abilities, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools are also critical to success in this role.

Working at Colonial Country Club offers more than just a job; it provides a career path enriched by tradition, community involvement, and professional growth opportunities. Employees benefit from comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, disability and life insurance, 401(k) retirement plans with company matching, and paid time off. Additional perks include free daily onsite meals, ongoing training programs, scholarship opportunities, and employee recognition initiatives that celebrate contributions to the club’s enduring legacy and future achievements.
