Job Description

The 2026 Touring Water Parade is a spectacular and innovative production known as the Splash Water Parade, combining live singers, dancers, advanced water effects, and cutting-edge technology to deliver a dazzling and engaging performance. This event is a touring production that will travel across multiple cities, appearing at notable theme parks including Six Flags Over Georgia, Carowinds, Dorney Park, and Kings Dominion. It is an outstanding opportunity for those passionate about live entertainment, production management, and the dynamic world of touring shows. The production company behind the Splash Water Parade is a leader in combining creativity and technical expertise to execute a pioneering live event that captivates audiences with its unique blend of artistry and technology.

This role is seasonal and involves working on one of two tours: the Blue Tour, running roughly from late May through late August across Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, and the Green Tour, spanning late June to mid-August in Virginia. Work schedules are demanding with a six-day workweek, and daily hours ranging between 8 and 10. The company covers all travel and lodging expenses, providing hotel accommodation based on double occupancy; however, meal expenses are not included. Compensation for the role is offered as flat pay with no additional per diem.

The position of Tour Manager for the Splash Water Parade is a critical leadership role within the touring team. Reporting directly to the Tour Director, the Tour Manager is responsible for overseeing all artistic and technical aspects of the parade during its park engagements. This includes managing rehearsals, coordinating show executions, liaising with performers, technicians, and park personnel, and maintaining the artistic integrity and quality of performances. The Tour Manager navigates the complexities of managing a large cast and crew, ensuring adherence to schedules, safety standards, and operational protocols.

Beyond artistic oversight, the Tour Manager handles logistical facets such as booking travel and accommodation, coordinating the transportation of equipment and sets, managing daily schedules, and addressing technical or logistical challenges in real-time. A key responsibility is maintaining clear communication among all stakeholders including corporate teams, park management, performers, and technical staff to ensure seamless operations throughout the tour. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, leadership ability, and a thorough understanding of the technicalities involved in a water-based, technology-driven live parade. The successful candidate will be integral in delivering a memorable entertainment experience, showcasing their ability to work under pressure while maintaining excellence in production and team management.
