Job Description
The Splash Water Parade is an innovative and thrilling touring production known for its spectacular combination of talented singers, dancers, stunning water effects, cutting-edge technology, and mesmerizing performances. It is a multi-city touring event that captivates audiences with its unique blend of artistic and technical excellence. The parade offers an immersive experience that appeals to families and thrill-seekers alike, making it a standout attraction at various theme parks across the country.
This production operates through two primary multi-city tours scheduled for 2026, known as the Blue Tour and the Green Tour. The Blue Tour covers locations including Six Flags over Georgia in Austell, GA, Carowinds in Charlotte, NC, and Dorney Park in Allentown, PA, spanning from late May through late August. The Green Tour takes place at Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA, running from late June through mid-August. Each tour provides seasonal positions for talented individuals interested in a dynamic and fast-paced entertainment environment.
All roles involved with the Splash Water Parade tours are seasonal, based on a demanding six-day work week with daily hours ranging between eight to ten. While the company provides full coverage for travel and housing, including hotel accommodations on a double occupancy basis, meal expenses are not included. The compensation for these roles is paid on a flat rate basis without an additional per diem allowance.
The key focus of the tours is to maintain and deliver the highest quality entertainment experience possible, ensuring every performance dazzles and operates smoothly. This requires a team of highly skilled professionals who bring technical knowledge, operational prowess, and creative vision to the production. These individuals work collaboratively to manage all aspects of the show from rehearsals to final performances and ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of all performers and crew members.
The role of Tour Manager is vital within the Splash Water Parade framework. This leadership position reports directly to the Tour Director and is entrusted with overseeing all artistic and technical components of the show throughout its run at each park. The Tour Manager is responsible for the successful execution of performances including managing rehearsals, coordinating with diverse teams, and ensuring adherence to production standards and safety regulations. This role requires effective communication with performers, technical crews, choreographers, musicians, and park personnel to uphold the artistic integrity and operational excellence of the event.
In addition to managing the creative aspects of the show, the Tour Manager also coordinates logistics related to travel, accommodations, and transportation of equipment, sets, and costumes between locations. They handle rehearsal scheduling, performance timing, and team management while addressing any real-time challenges that arise during the tour. The Tour Manager serves as the principal liaison between the touring production and park venues, facilitating compliance with park policies and maintaining open channels of communication among all stakeholders involved.
Overall, joining the Splash Water Parade Touring Team offers a rewarding opportunity for experienced entertainment professionals to contribute to an extraordinary live production that pushes the boundaries of traditional performance art. This role suits individuals who possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of live entertainment logistics, and a passion for producing memorable experiences for audiences across the nation.
