Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift/move up to 45 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Good physical stamina for standing, walking, and kneeling
- Basic PC and Outlook skills are a plus
- Retail management certificate is desirable
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced grocery store environment
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and write in Spanish and English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and comprehend product labels, pricing codes, and shelf tags
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group settings
- Basic understanding of oral and written instructions
- Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
- Assist in making a variety of tortillas and masa
- Fill, clean, and rotate tortilla displays to maintain freshness
- Interact effectively with customers and co-workers
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Lift and move products weighing up to 60 pounds
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tortilleria area
