Job Description

Lido House Autograph Collection, located in Newport Beach, California, is a distinguished member of the Autograph Collection Hotels, a growing portfolio of independent 4 and 5-star hotels. Known for their unique and memorable experiences, each hotel in the collection is carefully selected for its quality, originality, bold character, and ability to offer modern travelers a wide variety of customized adventures tailored to their personal style and sense of discovery. Lido House prides itself on attracting guests who are Individualists—travelers who view their journeys as opportunities to enrich their personal stories by choosing hotels that are much more than just a place to rest. By joining Lido House Autograph Collection, employees become part of a global team under Marriott International, a leader in the hospitality industry committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity. Marriott actively fosters a welcoming environment that celebrates the diverse backgrounds, talents, and experiences of its associates, emphasizing non-discrimination and equal access to career opportunities for all individuals, including those with disabilities or veteran status.

The role offered is a part-time, non-management position in the Food and Beverage and Culinary category, paying a competitive wage of $27.30 per hour. This position is crucial in delivering exceptional guest service by managing seating arrangements, guiding guests through dining areas, and ensuring a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Responsibilities encompass greeting guests warmly, accurately determining party sizes, escorting guests to clean and available tables, placing updated menus before each guest, and accommodating special seating arrangements for groups with specific needs. The position requires close attention to detail to guarantee that place settings have appropriate cutlery, clean napkins, and all standard tableware items. The role involves regular cleaning to maintain high standards in work areas throughout the day and entails monitoring the dining area's seating availability, service quality, guest safety, and overall wellbeing.

Employees in this role must adhere to all safety policies and procedures, report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management, and undertake safety training and certification as required. A professional appearance and uniform maintenance are mandatory, along with upholding confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets. Clear and professional communication, both with guests and team members, is essential, along with the ability to nurture positive working relationships and support collective team objectives. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Following directions from supervisors and performing other reasonable job-related duties as requested are also expected. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career in a supportive, globally connected hotel brand, where their contributions directly impact the guest experience and overall hotel success.
