Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to excellence and exceptional guest experiences. One of its distinguished offerings is the Autograph Collection, a unique portfolio of four and five-star independent hotels. Each of these hotels is carefully selected for its quality, originality, and bold character, providing travelers with distinctive and memorable stays that resonate with their personal sense of style and adventure. The Autograph Collection targets the Individualist traveler, someone who views travel as a way to enrich their personal narrative, choosing these properties not just as places to stay but as meaningful experiences that complement their lifestyle and preferences.

Among these prestigious properties is the Lido House Autograph Collection located at 3300 Newport Blvd, Newport Beach, California. This vibrant hotel embodies the spirit of the brand with its commitment to unique guest experiences and high standards of service. At Lido House, the team strives to provide a welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels valued and appreciated. Marriott International’s culture emphasizes inclusivity, diversity, and professional growth, offering associates a chance to belong to a global team that values their unique backgrounds and talents.

The available position is for a full-time Bartender, classified under Food and Beverage & Culinary, with a non-management role and an hourly wage of $17.40, including tips. This role is integral to delivering exceptional service and creating enjoyable experiences for guests. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving drinks according to specified recipes, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and ensuring all supplies are properly stocked. This includes tasks such as issuing and serving wine or champagne bottles, preparing fresh garnishes, washing soiled glassware, and managing bar inventory. The role also involves handling payments accurately, securing all stored liquors and beverages, and completing closing procedures.

The position requires adherence to company safety and security policies, including reporting any accidents or unsafe work conditions, and participating in safety training. Professionalism in personal appearance and conduct is expected, alongside maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets. Bartenders are also tasked with engaging guests warmly, anticipating their service needs, and fostering positive interactions to enhance the overall guest experience. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, as is the ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for the duration of shifts.

Ideal candidates will hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent and have at least one year of related work experience in hospitality or food and beverage services. While supervisory experience and formal certifications are not required, the role demands a customer-centric attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Marriott International encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds, promoting an inclusive work environment where each associate can grow and be their best self in a supportive, dynamic workplace.
