The To-Go Roadie position at Texas Roadhouse is a vital role within the restaurant's carryout operations. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about ensuring every To-Go guest receives the same legendary food and service experience as those dining in the restaurant. The To-Go Roadie is responsible for supporting the accurate and efficient execution of carryout orders, maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service, and ensuring a smooth and positive guest experience. This position involves direct guest interaction, requiring excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and familiarity with the restaurant's menu and ordering systems.

A To-Go Roadie at Texas Roadhouse manages guest orders with care and precision, providing a warm and friendly welcome and farewell to guests placing or picking up orders. They handle incoming phone orders using proper etiquette, accurately take and place orders by collaborating closely with back-of-house staff, and manage quote times and guest expectations with the assistance of restaurant managers. The role also involves understanding and operating online and mobile ordering systems as well as the point of sale (POS) system to process orders, payments, and gift card sales accurately. Safety, sanitation, and teamwork are emphasized to ensure a clean and efficient work environment. This is a weekly paid position that after one year of service and meeting eligibility requirements offers an industry-leading total rewards package. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior customer service experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • basic computer literacy
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • able to work flexible schedules
  • must be 18 years or older

Job Duties

  • Ensuring each guest receives a legendary welcome and goodbye when placing and or picking up their order
  • uses proper phone etiquette when answering calls and taking orders
  • knowledgeable of menu to accurately take and place orders
  • demonstrates strong organization and accuracy when packaging orders
  • works collaboratively with back of house staff to complete orders
  • partners with restaurant managers on quote times
  • accurately provides quotes to guests on the length of time to complete their order
  • understands online and mobile app ordering systems
  • accurately uses point of sale system to place orders, process to-go sales, gift card sales, and cash credit card transactions
  • practices proper safety and sanitation procedures
  • exhibits teamwork at all times
