Job Description

Texas Roadhouse is an American casual dining restaurant chain known for its vibrant atmosphere, legendary food, and exceptional customer service. Founded in 1993, the company has grown rapidly and established a strong presence across the United States, committing itself to a people-first philosophy that focuses on both its customers and employees. The brand’s commitment to quality steaks, made-from-scratch sides, and hand-cut meats combined with a lively, welcoming environment has made it a popular destination for families, friends, and steak lovers nationwide. Texas Roadhouse prides itself on providing a fun work culture that encourages teamwork, career development, and personal growth. Its employment offerings include flexible scheduling, comprehensive benefits, competitive wages, and a supportive team environment that fosters achievement and satisfaction.

Texas Roadhouse is currently seeking a To-Go Roadie to join their carry-out operations team. This position is focused on delivering the same legendary food and customer service that guests expect in the dining room, optimized for guests who prefer takeout options. The To-Go Roadie role is an essential part of the restaurant's success as it supports efficient order processing and ensures every guest interaction is marked by excellence. Responsibilities include welcoming and assisting guests when they place or pick up their orders, managing phone calls, accurately taking and processing orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system, and ensuring food quality and packaging meet Texas Roadhouse's high standards.

A To-Go Roadie must be well-versed with the menu, familiar with online and mobile ordering systems, and collaborate effectively with Kitchen staff to fulfill orders accurately and timely. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide order completion time estimates. Because the To-Go Roadie represents the restaurant to many customers, they must consistently practice proper safety and sanitation standards, exhibit teamwork, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Texas Roadhouse values its employees, referred to as "Roadies," considering them the heart and soul of the company. The culture encourages employees to love what they do today while preparing for future roles. Roadies benefit from formal training, friendly competitions, recognition programs, career advancement opportunities, and a fun workplace atmosphere. The company pays Roadies weekly and offers an industry-leading total rewards package after one year of service for those who qualify. This package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance options, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, disability and life insurance, identity theft protection, employee assistance programs, business travel insurance, and annual holiday bonuses. The company is also committed to equal opportunity, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds without discrimination.
