The Crown Complex in Fayetteville, North Carolina, represents one of OVG’s flagship managed venues, offering a state-of-the-art facility that includes a 4,500-seat arena, a 9,200-square-foot ballroom, a 10,880-seat coliseum, a sprawling exposition center, and a 2,440-seat theater. The venue hosts a wide variety of events, ranging from sports games featuring the Fayetteville Marksmen hockey team and the Fayetteville Fury indoor soccer team to concerts, family shows, and special productions year-round. The Receptionist role at Crown Complex is a part-time, regular position paying $15.00 per hour. As the first point of contact for prospective clients and the public, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in shaping visitors’ and callers’ initial impressions. This position involves managing incoming communication including answering multi-line phones, directing calls, handling mail, and maintaining correspondence flow within the complex. The receptionist is responsible for general office duties such as maintaining supplies, supporting various departments with clerical tasks, and ensuring the front desk operates efficiently during busy events. Candidates must be flexible, as the role requires working during evenings, weekends, and event days, emphasizing a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in administrative or receptionist roles preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Proficiency with multi-line phone systems
  • Familiarity with office equipment
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office
  • Ability to multitask and handle fast-paced environment
  • Professional and courteous demeanor

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors, answer, screen, and direct phone calls, and manage incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Maintain office supplies, manage digital/physical filing systems, and provide clerical support e.g., photocopying, scanning
  • Accept payments of fees, explain procedures, and answer routine questions
  • Assist all departments with general clerical duties
  • Answer multi-line phone systems and route calls accordingly
  • Deal tactfully and courteously with the public and other employees
  • Other duties as assigned
