One of OVG's prestigious venues, the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts located in Greensboro, North Carolina, is currently seeking a Premium Bartender to join its concessions and premium seating team. This part-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, supplemented by tips, and comes with participation in a 401(k) savings plan and matching for part-time employees. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional beverage service of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As a Premium Bartender, you will play a vital part in ensuring guests receive top-tier service that enhances their experience at the performing arts center. Responsibilities include adhering strictly to company standards in guest interactions, maintaining professional appearance and demeanor, and following all local and federal laws concerning alcohol service. You will be expected to expertly prepare and serve a variety of beverages, demonstrating knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and offering recommendations to guests to optimize sales opportunities.

This role requires attentiveness in monitoring guests for responsible alcohol consumption, including verifying identification to check legal drinking age and implementing service cut-offs where necessary. Bartenders will also be trained to handle sensitive situations calmly, including de-escalating conflicts involving intoxicated guests, with management and security intervention when needed. Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment is crucial, along with managing the cash drawer and bar inventory efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have experience bartending, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and extended hours consistent with event schedules. Preferred applicants will have completed bartending school and possess strong transaction handling skills.
