Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in pastry or culinary preparation preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Must have valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Card or obtain one prior to employment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
  • Commitment to maintaining sanitation and safety standards
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment including deep fryer, convection oven, mixer, immersion blender, scale, chef knife
  • Ability to read, follow, and execute recipes as provided by the Chef and convert recipes for proper product quantities
  • Strong communication skills to interact respectfully and professionally with employees, volunteers, management, and guests
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, event-driven, team-oriented environment
  • Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Possession or ability to obtain a valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Card
  • Thorough knowledge of sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, and safety standards relevant to OVG and venue operations
  • Commitment to uphold integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality

Job Duties

  • Provide high-quality, fresh pastry products in a timely manner for guests
  • Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
  • Participate as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation, service, and delivery of products
  • Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery to guests
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and reliability
