Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in pastry or culinary preparation preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must maintain excellent attendance
- Possess or obtain Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Card
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and portion controls
Job Qualifications
- Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment including deep fryer, convection oven, mixer, immersion blender, scale, and chef knife
- Ability to read, follow, and execute recipes and convert them for proper portioning
- Strong communication skills with employees, co-workers, management, volunteers, and guests
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environment
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Possess or obtain a valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Card
- Knowledge of applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, and safety standards
- Consistently adhere to integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality standards
Job Duties
- Provide high-quality, fresh pastry products in a timely manner for guests
- Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portioning requirements
- Participate as a team player in preparation, service, and delivery of products
- Report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for guest delivery
- Demonstrate excellent attendance
